For a residential project in Vietnam, we customized an efficient and aesthetically pleasing ordinary top-hung skylight solution. As a country with tropical climate, Vietnam has high temperature and rainfall all year round, which requires high ventilation, lighting and shading performance for roof windows, roof skylight and skylight window systems.
customer expectation:
The client wanted to use ordinary top-hung skylights to optimize interior lighting and ventilation while reducing direct sunlight and rainwater infiltration problems in the tropical climate. In addition, the skylight window design needed to be in line with modern architectural aesthetics, harmonize with the overall architectural style, and ensure the roof with skylight structure is durable and easy to maintain.
Design solution:
In response to these needs, we have adopted a high-strength aluminum alloy frame with Low-E toughened glass to ensure the durability and thermal insulation performance of the roof skylight. Meanwhile, the top-hung opening design combined with the electric control system can flexibly adjust the amount of ventilation, and with the built-in sunshade, it effectively reduces direct sunlight and enhances the comfort of the room. The complete skylights and roof windows system ensures stable performance in long-term use.
Project results:
The skylight window not only integrates perfectly into the building’s appearance, but also significantly improves interior lighting and air circulation. The seamless integration of the skylights into the roof with skylight structure is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, fully meeting the client’s expectations. This roof windows solution provides an ideal natural lighting and ventilation solution for buildings in the tropics, combining energy efficiency and environmental protection with practical value.
