In a mountain home in Aspen, Colorado, we completed a simple but effective skylight remodeling project. The owner's original curved skylight had been in disrepair for a long time, and not only was the glass severely yellowed, but water was also leaking from the joints, which was both aesthetically displeasing and a nuisance to the homeowner. In response to the owner's core needs of “solving water leakage, restoring light, and facilitating maintenance”, we chose the most practical solution: transparent tempered glass with a durable aluminum alloy frame. This combination ensures the sturdiness of the skylight and perfectly solves the original leakage problem. A specially reinforced waterproof seal allows the new skylight to cope with the changing climate of the Colorado mountains. The result is a delight: sunlight is back in the room through the clear glass, and there are no…
This residence is located in a temperate continental climate zone. In winter, it is cold and snowy; in summer, it is hot with intense sunlight; and in spring and autumn, there is a significant temperature difference between day and night. Customer expectations: Build a sunroom that can be used comfortably throughout the four seasons. It should be able to effectively withstand -20℃ temperatures in winter, deal with temperatures above 30℃ in summer, and adapt to the large temperature differences between day and night in spring and autumn. Ensure that the sunroom has good lighting performance and can effectively shade from the sun when needed, protecting privacy. The structure should be sturdy and durable, capable of withstanding heavy snow loads in winter and possible severe weather such as storms in summer, while controlling the overall construction and later maintenance costs. Design…
The owners of this resort-inspired home in Spain were faced with a typical outdoor living dilemma - how to make a terrace connected to the pool resistant to sudden rains, yet ready to embrace the Mediterranean sun? Our mobile sunroom provided the perfect solution. At the beginning of the project, the open terrace on site had a wide view, but the pool area was not covered, and the space was left unused because of the serious waterlogging on rainy days. The owner wanted to preserve the original streamlined design language of the building while realizing three core requirements through a flexible and adjustable roof system: all-weather rain protection, intelligent opening and closing for ventilation, and an aesthetic expression that blended with the modern villa style. The design team innovatively used aerospace-grade aluminum rails with high-transmittance polycarbonate panels to create a…
For this project in Kazakhstan, we created a pool cover solution that combines practicality and design. The client's core requirements were to solve the pool's dustproofing and thermal insulation problems, while at the same time harmonizing the design with the surrounding modern architecture and adapting it to the local climatic conditions. The project site is an open swimming pool area, which lacks effective shelter, resulting in the accumulation of leaves and dust and rapid heat dissipation. In response to this situation, we optimized the design through professional surveys and CAD technology, and finally adopted a retractable structure: high-strength lightweight materials to ensure durability, smooth lines to blend in perfectly with the architectural environment, and an intelligent opening and closing system that significantly improves ease of use. From the design drawings to the final realization, the project results fully met the…
