Pinpointing Customer Needs The homeowners expected to create a space on the terrace that was sheltered from the sun and rain, but also open at all times, allowing them to enjoy the outdoor scenery while ensuring privacy and comfort. At the same time, the design needed to harmonize with the modern style of the home, balancing durability and convenience. Skillfully Addressing Site Challenges Located in a tropical climate, the project faced high temperatures, heavy rainfall and humidity. Local townhouses suffer from uneven indoor lighting, poor ventilation and rain seepage due to their compact structure, so this project demands high lighting efficiency, easy operation, good waterproof sealing and great architectural aesthetic integration for skylights. Customer Expectations The client expects custom continuous top-hung skylights to solve insufficient lighting on the middle and upper floors of the townhouse, adjust ventilation flexibly, and meet waterproof and sun-shading needs. The skylights are required to fit the compact layout, be equipped with an electronic control system for easy operation, use durable materials for simple maintenance, and match the modern townhouse facade design.
